村内农业以种养为主：农户种柑桔、青梅等作物，同时与温氏企业携手搞养鸡、养猪的规模化经营。村中油茶种植已有五十多年历史，近年通过低产林改造得到发展。[1]

村内的「梭郎十三晚」元宵民俗已有400多年历史，活动包括夜间抬大王走火山等环节，据百度百科，该活动被列入新兴县第二批非物质文化遗产名录。[1]
