禤村位于太平镇，因所在地势较低而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月起属新兴县第三区，名东山乡，1952年12月改属三区东南乡。[2] 1955年归上沙区东南乡；1958年2月划入社圩乡人民委员会，同年11月属共成公社，称生产大队。[2] 1961年称上沙公社禤村大队；1983年设禤村乡，归上沙区。[2] 1986年11月设太平镇管理区，1999年改称禤村村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，禤村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
