社圩村位于太平镇，又称蛇墟村。村名先叫「蛇居」，后改称社圩，取五谷丰登之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落据称始建于唐末。[1] 早年此地先后隶属社中乡、社圩乡等基层单位，1958年并入共成公社后设为社圩生产大队。[2] 1961年改隶上沙公社，1962年后归上沙区管辖。[2] 1983年至1986年间为太平镇社圩管理区，之后改为村民委员会建制，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

村内的舞火簩是省级非物质文化遗产，镇政府称它始于唐代末期。[3] 每年农历二月初十前后，全村十个坊各自扎起火簩，在村中巡游；活动从岱山寺前的空地出发，长明灯先从岱山寺六祖殿引出，再依次点燃各坊的火簩。[3] 2021年，该民俗被列入省级非遗名录，百度百科载此事。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现存蕉山红陵、岱山寺和社圩陂等历史景观。[1] 蕉山战斗旧址位于蕉山村的蕉山上，属社圩村委的辖区。[4]
