历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月，布午隶属新兴县第二区靖安乡，1957年改入稔村区靖安乡。1958年2月划入东成乡，同年11月设布午大队，归稔村公社；1961年9月改属东成公社，1963年复归稔村公社。1964年至1982年，布午大队属东成公社。1983年11月设布午乡，1986年11月设东成镇布午管理区，1999年改为布午村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，布午列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
