都村位于东成镇，村名因适宜居住与发展而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

自1949年10月到1957年，该村先后隶新兴县二区，名东和乡；1955年划归稔村区。1958年2月改隶新兴县东成乡人民委员会，同年11月编入稔村人民公社，称都村大队。1961年转属东成公社，改称东都大队；1963年5月回到稔村公社，恢复都村大队之名，1964年5月复归东成公社。1983年设都村乡，1986年11月隶东成镇并设都村管委会，1999年改为都村村民委员会，至今仍属东成镇。[1]

2019年9月，都村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
