奄村是水台镇下辖的行政村，村名来自村后山的形状。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据记载，北宋咸平四年（1002年）梁氏祖人梁康从南雄珠玑巷迁往新会小岗，其后第七十五世里政公由小岗迁入奄村居住。[2]

1958年11月设奄村大队，隶属稔村公社；1983年改设奄村乡，1993年改称奄村管理区，1999年改为奄村村民委员会。[2]

2026年1月，奄村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

文化[edit]

奄村以香云纱非遗项目为载体，引入专业团队开发香囊、围巾、服饰等文创产品。[3]
