车岗镇是广东省云浮市新兴县下辖的镇，位于新兴县北部，地处全县最北端，县内有“北大门”之称，距新兴县城约10公里。全镇总面积91.5平方千米，辖1个社区、18个行政村。[1][3][6]

“车岗”一名的由来，是明朝年间车头一带的人到鲤鱼岗（今车岗圩）经营铺面，各取一字拼成的。[3]

2022年1月，本镇获授「2021年度广东省卫生城镇」称号。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月起这一带划归第六区；此前清代属新兴县第五区，明代属延寿都。[5]

1955年8月，车岗区取代了第六区的名称，下辖十二个乡，仁义乡为其中之一。1958年9月，车岗区与洞口乡、城关镇并组红旗公社，次年改称新城公社，同年3月洞口公社又自其中分离。[5]

1961年9月，洞口公社一分为二，设洞口与车岗两社；1963年5月两者又合为车岗公社，1978年2月洞口再度分出。1983年8月车岗区恢复，至1987年4月改为镇。[5]

地理环境[edit]

镇境东边隔着肇庆市高要区的活道镇，南面是新城镇，西边为国营良洞经林场，西北连接云安区的前锋镇，北边与云城区腰古镇交界。[1]

全镇属平原丘陵地带，地势东西两侧较高，南北及中部较低，以丘陵岗地为主。新兴江贯通境内南北。[4]

广茂铁路在镇内设车岗站，省道S276线纵贯全镇南北。[2][4]

经济[edit]

据2004年的概况，车岗镇工业以建材、造纸、饲料、塑料、化工和不锈钢产品加工为支柱，禽畜与水产养殖业也较为发达。[4]
