云吟村是新城镇下辖的行政村，村名取“云集龙吟”之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明朝嘉靖年间，梁圣胜在此开村。[2] 1949年归新兴县第六区成睦乡；1952年组织互助组；1955至1957年陆续建立农业合作社；1958年11月归红旗公社，设云吟大队；1959年改归洞口公社；1963年4月改归车岗公社；1978年2月回归洞口公社；1983年4月为洞口区公所下的云吟乡；1989年6月归洞口镇，设云吟管理区；1999年改为云吟村委会。[2] 2019年12月，本村在国家林业和草原局发布的第二批「国家森林乡村」名单之中。2020年12月，村列入2020年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
