高塱村位于石城镇境内，是镇下辖的一个行政村。[1] 村名由一带山岭多、地形起伏的特点而来，1973年分为两个大队时定名高塱大队，1999年又改为村委会。[1]

名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网的页面标题作「高朗村」。据该网所载，这一带山岭多，当地把起伏不平的地形叫作「塱」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1973年分作两个大队，其中一个取名高塱大队。1983年改称高塱乡，1986年称村民委员会。[1]

1992年设高塱管理区，1999年又改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村内列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
