根围村在石城镇南侧，村委驻地靠近国道324线，是镇下辖的行政村之一。[1][2] 村内下辖17个自然村，石城镇中心小学设于村内。[1]

根围村位于镇域南侧，村委驻地设在国道324线旁，下辖17个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年设根围乡，1958年改隶根围人民公社，1983年又归根围乡政府管辖。[2]

1986年起称根围村委会，1989年改为根围管理区，1999年再次设村委会，沿用至今。[2]

教育与荣誉[edit]

石城镇中心小学设于根围村内。[1]

2019年9月，根围村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
