云星村位于石城镇，村委会设在云星村委，属镇下辖的行政村。[1] 村名的「云」取其姓氏较多之意，「星」则取自国旗五星红旗，1999年由管理区改为村委会，沿用至今。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村委会内姓氏较多，「云」字取多的意思；当时响应革命，以国旗上的五星取「星」字，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前，本村辖区称秋云乡，后改精诚乡，1949年后又改为云青乡。1958年分设云星大队。[2]

1983年改为云星乡，1986年区改镇后改为云星村民委员会，1992年改为管理区，1999年成为村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，云星村入选「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，产业为腐竹。[1] 2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予云星村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
