马塘村是富林镇辖下的行政村。村名的来历是村中有一口鱼塘，塘中一块石头形似马。[1]2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予村庄「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]村内的马塘庙是马塘庙会的举办地。[2][3]

文化[edit]

马塘庙始建于明万历十一年，清道光年间（1821—1850年）重建，庙内墙体满布墙画。[2]马塘庙会始于明万历十一年（1583年），每年农历三月初三为玄帝宝诞，五月十三为关帝宝诞，庙会期间有八音锣鼓表演、唱戏、舞狮等活动，被列入「广东省第三批省级非物质文化遗产名录」。[2][3]
