横迳村位于白石镇东北部，离镇政府约16公里，辖8个自然村。[1] 村名来自此地横向的冲迳地形。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时，此地设大队，称横迳大队。1983年撤社改区，成为横迳乡；1986年转为村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1999年定为横迳村委会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村下辖上横、下横、大茅、大岭、山塘、塘咯、鸡乸田、下垌8个自然村，共19个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植水稻为主，兼种少量龙眼、蚕桑和无核黄皮。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把横迳村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[2]

横迳村于2019年9月入选「2018年广东省‘民主法治示范村（社区）’创建单位」名单。[2]
