佛洞村是高村镇的一个行政村，村名来自与郁南县相连的山岭。岭上立有数尊佛像，岭下有一山洞。[1][3]

广昆高速在本村设有出入口。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地先隶属六区，后隶属八区。土改复查之后，十三联村与十五联村并为佛洞乡。1958年公社化期间名为佛洞大队，1968年一度改称红洞大队，1980年又恢复佛洞大队之名。1983年撤社改区后设佛洞乡政府；1989年起实行镇辖村体制，佛洞改名为佛洞村民委员会；1992年成为佛洞管理区，1999年再称佛洞村民委员会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，本村获评广东省第二批百千万工程典型村。[1]

2019年12月，本村入选国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」。[1]

2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」。[1]
