益南村位于南盛镇西部，与圩镇所在地料洞村相接。1950年设益南乡，「益南」二字含有利于南盛发展之意，1999年改称村委会时沿用了这一名称。[1][2]

村庄2020年12月获广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年11月被确定为「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」；2023年11月列入第五批云浮市「民主法治示范村（社区）」；2024年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖年间（1560年），朱国诏公自英德九龙迁来，是村中始祖。[3]

1950年设益南乡；1958年改为生产大队，归幸福公社。此后先后划归南盛、朝阳公社，1967年改称朝红生产大队。1983年复称益南乡，1986年设村委会，隶云安县南盛镇；1989年转管理区，1999年又改为村委会，仍隶云安县南盛镇。2014年11月7日起划归云城区南盛镇。[3]
