料洞村位于南盛镇圩镇范围之内，南盛镇的圩镇所在地即在该村委会辖区。[1][3]
村庄2019年入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录，2021年获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2024年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」命名。2026年1月，村庄获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
相传开村的是廖姓人家，村名中的「料」与「廖」读音相近，故名料洞。清代，这一带相连的盆地都被称作料洞。[1][2]
1952年设料洞乡，隶云浮县四区；1958年设料洞生产大队，1961年划归南盛人民公社，1966年改属朝阳人民公社。1983年改称料洞乡，1986年10月改为料洞村委会，属南盛镇，1999年起定为现名的村委会。[2]
