鸡村村位于云浮市云城区思劳镇，属城乡结合区[2]，全村下辖5个自然村[5]。梁桂华故居所在的三坑村即属本村[3][4]。

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初，陈氏与黄氏的先祖先后迁入此地，梁氏先祖也在同一时期落户[1]。

1952年3月设鸡村乡，归思劳乡管辖；1954年3月办起鸡村高级农业生产合作社。1958年8月转入腰古乡，同年10月设鸡村生产大队，划入激流人民公社；1961年3月并入思劳人民公社。此后该村的建制经过多次调整[1]。

文化旅游[edit]

梁桂华故居为泥砖瓦房，内设客厅、厨房和两个房间，房间加建了杉木夹层[4]。1927年梁桂华回到家乡，以三坑村梁氏宗祠为据点建立农会，宗祠后来成为农会旧址。农会旧址、纪念馆与故居共同组成该处的廉洁教育基地[3]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，鸡村村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[2]。
