古宠村是安塘街道的一个行政村，村域面积约6.5平方千米。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
明万历年间，苏东石作为苏氏始祖，自鹤山分出一支来此定居。[2]
1953年3月设古宠乡，隶安塘乡；1954年3月组建古宠高级农业生产合作社。1958年8月划属腰古乡，同年10月设古宠生产大队，归激流人民公社；1961年起改隶夏洞人民公社。[2]
1983年改称古宠乡，由安塘区公所领导；1986年成为古宠村委会，隶安塘镇；1989年改为管理区，仍隶安塘镇。1994年纳入安塘街道，1999年再定名古宠村委会，至今仍隶安塘街道。[2]
