赤村是安塘街道的一个行政村，属城乡结合区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年3月，设赤村乡，隶安塘乡。1958年8月并入腰古乡管辖，同年10月另设赤村生产大队，划归激流人民公社；1961年起归夏洞人民公社。[2]

1983年改为赤村乡，由安塘区公所统管；1986年成为赤村村委会，隶安塘镇；1989年改为管理区，仍隶安塘镇。1994年纳入安塘街道，1999年定名赤村村民委员会，沿袭至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，赤村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单。[1]
