历史沿革[edit]

村落原名卢厝寨。约320年前，卢姓一支自普宁本市迁来创村。博雅地名网另载，祖先于1736年迁入。1999年成立行政村，改为现名。[1]

2019年9月，福新村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄为带状聚落，建筑多为土木结构平房，部分为混凝土结构楼房。村内有水泥化公路通往场部。[1]
