矿坑村是普宁市南阳山区后溪乡的村，离普宁市区约58.7公里，是进入后溪乡后遇到的第一个村，与大坪镇、大坪农场接壤[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1953年本村属大坪十三区第六村。1958年鲘溪林场设立时，这里称工区；1984年改为管区；1990年鲘溪设乡后改称管理区，博雅地名网如此记载[1]；1999年改为矿坑村委会，沿用至今[1][2]。

总人口2190人，博雅地名网与百度百科所载相同，均未注年份[1][2]。

经济[edit]

外出经商务工的人员较多，青梅、青榄等水果的种植是主要收入来源之一[1][2]。村内有鞋垫加工厂和果子厂各1家[1][2]。村中有一条宽3.5米的水泥村道贯穿全村，与县道092线相接[1]。

村内设有矿坑小学，并成立了「后溪乡矿坑小学教育基金会」[1][2]。
