普侨镇是广东省揭阳市普宁市下辖的镇，在普宁市区以西约20千米处，与揭西县相接，地处潮汕平原西侧。镇域即原普宁华侨农场的管辖范围：1961年建场，1995年改设普宁华侨管理区，2021年1月设镇。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，为安置归难侨，国家在此设立普宁华侨农场，由广东省侨务部门管理。农场接收的归侨来自13个国家和地区，博雅地名网列举了马来西亚、缅甸、越南等地。[1][3][4]

1988年，省政府决定把华侨农场下放给汕头市管辖，汕头市随后委托普宁县代为管理。[1]

1995年8月，揭阳市委、市政府批准设立揭阳市普宁华侨管理区，它是县（处）级单位，并获得部分县级行政和经济管理权限。[1][2][3][4]

2009年6月，管理区增挂普宁普侨工业区（市级工业区）的牌子。[4]

2019年12月，揭阳市把普侨区整个交由普宁市统一领导。2021年1月，原农场辖地改设为普侨镇。[1][3][4]

人口与民族[edit]

据百度百科，2019年末全镇户籍人口有1.19万人。[3] 博雅地名网引用第七次全国人口普查结果，记全镇人口为8900人；该站还列出壮族、瑶族、京族、苗族、侗族、土家族等少数民族，共六个。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

花古岩位于后寮村西北面的麒麟山顶，年代为清乾隆七年（1742年），类别为古建筑，列为县级文物保护单位。[5][6]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，普侨镇获授「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」称号。[1]
