安仁村是梅塘镇下辖的行政村，地处镇北面，临榕江南岸，北面与揭西县棉湖镇相接，村内有城围、下厝等自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，此地在明洪武年间已有村落，陈姓先人自惠来迁入。博雅地名网则说，正德年间（1506—1521）时，陈氏先由福建莆田到潮阳一带游居，后才迁到此地。两处所载的年代与迁出地不一。[1][2]

明万历十三年（1585年）前后，此地曾被选定为新县城址，由知县主持营建，但工程后未能完成；遗下的土城基址与护城河遗迹，即今城围寨。城围寨属安仁村的下厝社，在村子最北边，寨外仍有土城基，残高约3米。[1][3]

经济[edit]

耕地2376亩，山地3400亩；村民同为陈姓。农业是村中的基础产业，番石榴与橄榄为主要果品，另有电线、塑料加工等企业二十余家。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年3月，安仁村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2026年1月，安仁村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[2]
