里湖镇在广东省揭阳市普宁市西北一带，临近榕江，处于榕江平原和南阳山地的接合处。它是普宁西部的门户，也是该市三个省级中心镇中的一个。[3][4]

镇名原作「鲤湖」。据博雅地名网，明代在西门溪与火烧溪汇入榕江的地方架有龙门桥，低洼处雨季时成湖，名称取自「鲤跃龙门」的寓意，后简写为“里湖”。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

里湖在明代万历年间已形成墟市，约在公元1600年前后，距今有四百多年。明清两代，这里归普宁县的黄坑都管辖；民国年间依次划入普宁县第三区、第三联乡和第二区。[2][4]

解放后的1949年10月起，这里经历多次改设，曾为里湖市，又先后为里湖区、普宁县第十区，并设有里湖乡和里湖人民公社。[2]

1957年设立里湖镇，翌年改为里湖公社。1962年境内增设石牌公社。1983年撤社，分设里湖区与石牌区；1986年撤区，改为里湖镇与石牌镇。2003年，石牌镇撤销，并入里湖镇。[3][4]

地理环境[edit]

镇内有榕江、火烧溪、西门溪与引榕渠四条水道。地形多为半山区，水果资源丰富，出产焦柑、荔枝、青榄、龙眼等。[2][4]

气候类型一说为南亚季风性湿润气候，一说为亚热带季风性气候；维基百科载年均气温21．5℃。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查的结果显示，全镇人口为8.64万人。[3]

2018年末，全镇户籍人口为120071人。[1]

经济[edit]

镇内商贸历来活跃，共设十个专业市场，经营茶叶、服装、鲜果和杉木等。据里湖镇人民政府网站2024年的报道，镇里的茶叶市场规模居粤东之首，其功能和管理水平也居前列。[5]

凉果加工是镇内的老行业。1991年，和平管区创办“凉果城”，以它为中心带动全镇的凉果生产。[3]

镇政府网站提到，里湖以“中国淘宝村”为示范，组建了电子商务协会，并依托8个“一村一品”项目发展特色旅游。[5]

2020年、2021年和2022年，里湖镇先后列入阿里研究院发布的「淘宝镇」名单。[3]

2023年11月，里湖镇入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」；2024年3月，被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

侍御家庙（察院祠）为明末建造的古建筑，列为县级文物。[6]

新池内村的隐陀寺伏虎井是明代崇祯年间的古建筑，同为县级文物。[7]

河头村的里湖关帝庙为明代天启年间的古建筑，属县级文物。[8]

汤头村的中国工农红军烈士纪念碑，年代为1957年，属近现代重要史迹，列为县级文物。[9]

富美村大架山上有李存穆烈士墓，墓建于1931年，为县级文物。[10][12]

竹林村的竹林书斋属解放战争时期的建筑，是文物保护单位。[11]

文化[edit]

河头大锣鼓是镇里的传统乐舞，另有英歌、醒狮、潮乐等队伍。灯谜、书画与“三棋”也有传统。[2]
