毛岭村因四周是毛竹丛生的重重山岭而得名，清雍正年间有人迁来创村。村内以农业种植为主，橄榄、乌榄、青梅、油甘和柑是主要果品。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1948年春，游击队在毛岭一带的战斗中击败常备队。[1]

新中国成立前后，村属边松乡所辖；1961年划入梅林公社毛岭大队。1989年改设管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月公布的名单中，毛岭村被列为2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
