樟树村曾名樟树仔，是船埔镇下辖的行政村，村中自然村有大湖里、枫树排、稔公田、坑尾仔，另有樟树仔、大塘坑、凹背、新寨仔，共八处。[1]

村名的来历：清初，福建移民迁来定居，村口石旁有一株大樟树，需四人合抱才能围住，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年并入乡建制；1987年析出设立村委会；1989年改为管理区办事处；1999年改称村委会，沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

德成楼是中共陆惠县委办公旧址。1925年3月，船埔区农会的领导机关设在德成楼；1932年春，古大存受命担任陆惠县委书记，县委机关驻于此楼。[2]

2023年12月，德成楼入选第九批「揭阳市爱国主义教育基地」，现兼作「普宁市爱国主义教育基地」。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地638亩，山地8280亩。农作以水稻、甘薯为主，盛产菠萝，是镇内菠萝主产村之一。[1]
