宝樟村曾称火烧寮，是船埔镇下辖的行政村，位于南阳山区，辖龙窝、上新屋、火烧寮三个自然村。户籍人口864人。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明末，温姓一支由山西太原一带迁来，搭草寮而居，以烧炭为生，屡次失火，故得名火烧寮。后改称宝山楼，1958年后才定为现名。[1]

1987年另立村委会，1989年改为管理区办事处，1999年才定为村委会。[2]

大革命时期，古大存曾在村中领导革命活动；抗日战争至解放战争期间，村子是共产党游击队的活动据点之一。[1][2]

经济[edit]

耕地278亩，山地3102亩。农作以水稻、甘薯为主，水果以菠萝、青梅为主。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月，又列入2020年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
