历史沿革[edit]
村从1960年起以大队形式存在；1984年归并入乡；1987年改设蓆草湖村委会；1989年改为管理区办事处；1999年改称村委会，沿用至今。[2]
经济[edit]
耕地为170亩，山地为3800亩。农业与果林业并重，粮食作物以水稻、甘薯为主，果品有青梅、乌榄和香蕉。村内有一座20千瓦的小型水电站，以及一所小学。[2]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
