村民日常使用客家话（半山客语音），村中以王氏为主要姓氏，所产油柑、青梅、乌榄与橄榄被列为村中特产。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子在1978年分出，单独设立大队；1984年并入乡建制，1987年设村委会。1989年改为管理区办事处，直到1999年才定为今名的村委会。[2]
