船埔镇属广东省揭阳市普宁市，位于市域西南一带，北邻梅林镇，东南与高埔镇相接，西南与大坪镇及大坪农场比邻，西北以揭西、陆河两县为界。全镇设1个社区，下辖28个行政村。[1][2]

镇域面积，百度百科记为127.84平方千米，博雅地名网记为约88.3平方千米；人口，百度百科记为2020年末户籍人口5.83万人，博雅地名网据第七次全国人口普查记为3.62万人。[1][2]

百度百科称，船埔镇处在普宁、陆河与揭西三地青梅产区的核心位置，同时是普宁市的五大赏梅区之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，这片地方先属海丰县，后归惠来县龙溪都。1950年3月划归普宁县，其后先后隶属东阳区与梅林区。[1][2]

1958年，先并入大坪乡，当年下半年转入南阳山公社；1961年从中分出，设船埔公社。1983年改为船埔区，1986年由区改镇。黄沙乡在2003年1月30日并入本镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇内有一条连接里湖与后溪两地的公路，穿过镇子中部。种植以水稻、甘薯为主，果品有青梅、橄榄与菠萝。[2]

工业方面，博雅地名网列出的门类有农产品加工、抽纱和服装三类。[2]

文化[edit]

船埔公益图书馆由镇政府牵头筹办，普宁市大学生发展促进会参与共建，2022年7月25日举行开馆仪式，馆址在船埔村，场地约600平方米。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

樟树村的德成楼是中共陆惠县委办公旧址，该旧址于2023年12月被列为揭阳市第九批爱国主义教育基地，属镇内的革命旧址。[3]
