名称与建村[edit]
清雍正年间，此地因地势较高、农田缺水而创村。“稔”在客家话中有缺水的意思，村名由此而来。[1]
村名定于1950年，取稔田、麻大尾两个自然村各一字。[2]
行政沿革[edit]
村子1950年3月起划归普宁县，1958年以前隶属大坪乡，之后并入南阳山公社。1986年大坪设镇后，此地成为稔尾村委会，1990年一度改称管理区，1999年又恢复村委会建制，沿用至今。[1]
地理与产业[edit]
村内有耕地748亩、山地5077亩，主要种植水稻、甘薯和花生，山林盛产青梅、橄榄等作物。[1]
村中有小学一所，合作医疗站一个，碾米加工厂一座。村属革命老区。[1]
