历史沿革[edit]
甲湖村原属陆丰县，于1950年3月划入普宁县。此后一段时间里，它属普宁县十三区，直至1958年并入南阳山公社。[1]
1960年，南阳山公社分出的大坪农场设甲湖管区；1966年农场分出，组成大坪公社甲湖大队。1984年改为粘田乡甲湖村，1986年大坪设镇后称甲湖村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年又改称甲湖村委会，沿用至今。[1]
地理与产业[edit]
村内有耕地529亩、山地6080亩，主要种植水稻、甘薯和花生，盛产青梅，另产橄榄、乌榄、油甘、香蕉、菠萝及林木。[1]
村中设小学1所，合作医疗站1个，有小水电站和碾米加工厂，属革命老区，村内有简易公路通往镇区。[1]

甲湖村以青梅入选第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，相关名单于2021年9月公布。[1]
