月塘村是高埔镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东南部，东与马鞍山农场相邻，南面与惠来县葵潭镇交界。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

此地原属惠来县，新中国成立后划入普宁县月南乡。1958年公社化时，本村与邻近几村合为一个大队，1962年才分出，单独成立月塘大队。1983年改设月塘乡，1986年改为村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年又改称村委会。[1]

自然与产业[edit]

广汕公路从村中穿过，普惠高速的高柏出入口离村约一公里，村子紧靠普宁市高柏工业园区。高埔河流经辖区，村内有打码坑水库一座。[1]

村民多以果树为生，荔枝、青梅出产较多，村子属高埔镇的荔枝产地之一。村内设有加油站、煤气供应站，并有一所小学。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，月塘村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
