沿革[edit]
新中国成立前这里属惠来县，新中国成立后划归普宁县的一个乡。1958年公社化时与邻近村庄合为生产大队，1961年拆队重组，1972年自成头寮大队。1983年设头寮乡，1986年改为村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年又称村委会。[2]
自然与产业[edit]
村域面积约5.37平方千米，下辖洋台坑、头寮2个自然村。流经村内的水源有河、溪各一条，基本保持山区的原生态环境。[2]
农业以水果种植为主，主产青梅、橄榄。村内有文化活动场所一个，小学一所。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，头寮村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
