咸寮村位于普宁市区东南约7.1千米处，地处大南山北麓的半丘陵地区。元至元二年（1336年），严、孙、廖三姓居民到此定居，最初以三姓之名称村，叫作严孙廖。[1][3]

村名的变化[edit]

明成化十六年（1480年），陈姓人家迁入，严、孙、廖三姓则迁往惠来。此后，村名经潮语谐音改为咸酸寮，1952年简称咸寮。[1][2]

革命历史[edit]

大革命时期，彭湃、古大存曾在村西南马鞍山石坷的一个深洞中住过。1927年八一南昌起义之后，郭沫若等人经过此地，同年10月4日，由区农会负责人陈开仪带到石洞中隐藏。[2]

文化与经济[edit]

1953年，村中的英歌班编入普宁英歌队，代表潮汕英歌舞赴北京汇演。[2]

农产以稻米和甘薯为主，另有鸟梨、青榄、乌榄等水果。村民多在二、三产业工作，工业以服装加工为主。[2]

沿革[edit]

1999年1月，经普宁市人民政府7号文通知定名为咸寮村委会。[4]
