涂坑村位于普宁市区东南约7.8千米处。古时这里原是一条坑，村落由填坑而成，村名因此而来。[1]

沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时为涂坑大队，1973年6月分设为数个大队。1983年设下架山区涂坑乡，1987年改称下架山镇涂坑村民委员会，1990年设管理区，1999年1月改称涂坑村委会。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻、甘薯和蔬菜为主，另产青榄、油甘、荔枝、杨桃等水果。服装加工已成为村民主要的经济来源。[1]
