中央埔村位于普宁市区东南约8千米处，村落建在山埔的中间，村名由此而来。村子始建于清代中叶，最早由王姓一支迁来，其后陈、吴二姓相继迁入。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

村内多山埔，村落立于中间的山埔之上，因而得名。1999年，村子改称中央埔村委会，此后未再更改。[1][3]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻、甘薯和蔬菜为主，产青梅、橄榄等水果。约一半劳力在二、三产业就业，工业以服装加工和石板加工为主。[1]
