陂老村位于普宁市区东南约8.3千米处，村西有白马溪流过。村名来自旧时村旁一处水色深黑的陂塘，潮汕人称黑为乌，村名因而有“陂乌”之称。[1][2]

村名的变化[edit]

村子最早的聚居点在顶园，后扩建为新村。为与新村区别，称陂乌老村，后简称陂老。[1]

经济[edit]

村民多从事藤椅制作与扫帚加工等传统手工业，村中也有服装加工。据百度百科，2019年常住人口约2000人。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

1999年1月，经普宁市人民政府文件改称陂老村委会。[3]
