长沟围村位于普宁市区东南约9.8千米处。约三百年前，蔡姓一支从下陇迁来开村，村子四周被沟渠环绕，因而得名长沟围。[1]

沿革[edit]

1999年1月，经普宁市人民政府文件改称长沟围村委会。[2]

经济与侨乡[edit]

农业以水稻、甘薯和花生为主，村民中约六成劳力从事二、三产业。村子属侨乡和革命老区。[1]
