蛟池村位于普宁市区东南约9.1千米处，属镇乡结合区。村中以陈姓居多，另有钟、翁、傅等姓。[1][2]

建村与村名[edit]

村落始于明末，约在1644年前后开始有人居住，最早的居民有陈、钟、翁、傅四姓，其中陈姓人数最多。[1]

相传古时村中有一口池塘，曾有蛟龙出没，村名由此而来。[1]

沿革[edit]

1961年前后，村子曾与邻近的几个村庄合为一个大队，此后多次分设与合并。1984年设为下架山区蛟池乡，1986年改为镇属的蛟池村委会，1999年改称蛟池村委会，此名沿用至今。[3]

经济[edit]

农业以稻谷、甘薯和花生为主。村民多在二、三产业工作，村中有服装、塑料和石板加工。[1]

据百度百科，蛟池村2024年户籍人口约4600人。[2]
