三百多年前，邓姓一支从惠来迁入此地。之后林、马两姓居民先后自潮阳和平来到，邓氏后人则另迁他处。[1]

沿革[edit]

1999年改称古山村委会，此名沿用至今。[2]

经济[edit]

村中有家庭式的服装加工，村民不少外出经商，约六成劳力在二、三产业就业。[1]
