和寮村位于普宁市区东南约7.8千米处，村名经历过变化，村中有玉宝庵。[1]
村名由来[edit]
据传约三百多年前，一位陈姓居民从军埠一带来到此地，替李姓人家做长工。当地住着潮阳龙山庵的和尚，陈氏便在和尚的住处搭寮居住，后来村落形成。李姓人家迁走后，此地因“和尚寮”得名，1962年简称和寮。[1]
沿革[edit]
1958年公社化后，村子并入和尚寮大队，1962年改称和寮大队。1984年成为下架山区的和寮乡，1986年又设为镇属的和寮村委会。1990年改设和寮管区，1999年1月才定名为今天的和寮村委会。[2]
