碗仔村位于普宁市区东南约15千米处，依山而建，村中以石砌屋宇为主，聚落里至今保存着石屋、进村石阶和古石板桥。[1][4]

名称与建村[edit]

村前有一座形似案几的山丘，村子初称案仔村。后因四面环山、中间凹下，形状如碗，改称今名。[1][4]

村落建于16世纪末，居民以马姓为主。[4]

新中国成立初，村子属潮阳县；1958年公社化时划归普宁县。1999年1月，经普宁市人民政府文件改称碗仔村委会，此名沿用至今。[3]

石屋[edit]

因村子所在山地不平整，难以建造多进的大宅，村民便就地取石，把石块直接垒成墙体，后来在石块之间加入黏结材料。屋顶为圆木搭成的梁檩结构，上覆瓦片，民居多是单进深的联排形式。[2]

革命历史[edit]

1934年，张木葵率领的游击队在鲈鳗洞附近设伏，阻击了前来围攻的部队，毙伤敌军40名。[1]

村西的洋古金山一带仍留有红军时期的卫生所、监护所、缝衣厂、印刷厂旧址。沿盐岭径分布的石刻标语共10条，其中有革命烈士翁千亲手刻的「巩固苏维埃政权」，这一组标语属省级文物保护单位。[4][1]

荣誉[edit]

2016年10月，村子列入「第五批广东省古村落」名单；2019年9月，又上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
