军埠镇位于广东省揭阳市普宁市东部，东面与汕头市潮南区的陈店镇、仙城镇相接，西南接下架山镇，北接占陇镇，距普宁市区约15公里。规划文件称军埠是普宁“衬衣王国”衬衣生产的发源地，镇内工业以纺织服装为主。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名的由来有两说。博雅地名网的镇条目载，北宋杨文广平定南方时曾驻军此地，原为荒埔，因驻军而称“军埔”，后改作“军埠”。[1]军埠社区的条目则说，明嘉靖四十三年（1564年）官军与入侵的倭寇在此地激战，战后留有驻军，故称“军埔”，清代在此设圩，遂改称“军埠”。[5]

明清时期这里称军埠村。民国时期，此地的隶属在潮阳县与普宁县之间有过划分。[1]

1958年，原属潮阳县的一批村落划归普宁县，与南湖乡合并组成军埠乡，同年秋天又并入占陇人民公社。1962年自占陇公社析出，另设军埠人民公社；1983年取消公社，改设区；1986年撤区，改设镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积的记载不一：《普宁统计年鉴—2020》列土地面积为25.28平方千米，博雅地名网作27.3平方千米，百度百科作27.2平方千米。[1][3][4]国道324线经镇北部。[1]

人口[edit]

2019年末，据百度百科所载，镇户籍人口为131970人，与第七次全国人口普查的常住人口数不是同一口径。[3]

经济[edit]

规划文件列出镇内的支柱产业为纺织、服装、光盘、塑料和五金，并称镇内有年产值过亿元的服装类上市公司。[2]

军埠镇先后三次入选淘宝镇名单：2020年9月由阿里研究院公布，2021年的名单由阿里研究院与南京大学空间规划研究中心共同发布，2022年10月公布的名单中亦有军埠镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

革命烈士纪念碑（大长陇）位于大长陇村，年代为1958年，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，为县级文物保护单位。[6]
