西楼村是占陇镇辖下的行政村，桥柱老寨位于村内，人们视其为桥柱一带的发源地。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年起，本村为西楼村委会；此前的1990年，它是西楼管理区，1985年起称西楼大队，1950年则属桥柱乡。[1]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，西楼村先后列入淘宝村名单。2024年3月，村子被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

桥柱老寨南寨门为明代建筑，是县级文物保护单位，位于西楼村的桥柱老寨。[2][3]
