历史沿革[edit]

1957年以前，本村属普宁县第五区管辖。1958年，占陇与军埠合组超美公社，本村归其中的桥柱管区。1959年设占陇公社洪厝寨大队；1983年，公社一级改设为区，本村与一个邻近大队同设一乡。此前一段时间曾为管理区，1999年起称洪厝寨村委会，并沿用至今。[1]

2019年9月，洪厝寨村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年3月，村子被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
