桥柱新寮村是占陇镇辖下的行政村，位于占陇东部的“桥柱”一带。“桥柱”是当地的传统地名，指铁峰派陈氏后裔聚居的地方。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年以前，新寮村属普宁县第五区的新兜乡。1958年归超美公社的桥柱管区，1959年改属占陇公社。此后经大队、乡、管理区等建制，1999年改称桥柱新寮村委会，沿用至今。[1]

2019年9月，新寮村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，村子先后列入淘宝村名单。2024年3月，村子被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
