定厝寮村位于占陇镇西北部、练江北侧的小北山地带，地处偏僻，交通不便，以农业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1957年以前，本村属普宁县第五区的一个乡。1958年归超美公社的一个管区，1959年改属占陇公社管区。1963年设定厝寮大队，1983年改属占陇区的一个乡，1986年改设占陇镇定厝寮管理区，1999年改称定厝寮村委会。[1]

2023年4月，定厝寮村在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中。2026年1月，村子获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]
