占陇镇是广东省揭阳市普宁市的一个镇，位于市区东部。它东边与潮南区的陈店镇相邻，北边是南径镇，南边连着军埠镇与下架山镇，西侧直接与普宁市区接壤。[1][4]

“占陇”之名源于东占陇与西占陇之间形成的集市。1986年撤区设镇以前，这一带先后经历过普宁县陇水都、区、人民公社等建制的变化。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，这一带属普宁县的陇水都。民国年间先后划入普宁县第五区与第三区，五十年代初又分属塘桥区、占陇区和第五区。[4]

1957年撤区设乡，当年设早塘乡；1958年初并为占陇乡，同年9月并入占陇人民公社。1961年分出占陇、早塘、桥柱等公社，1963年又合并为占陇人民公社。1983年撤社设区，1986年撤区设镇。[4]

“桥柱”是占陇东部一带的传统地名，指铁峰派陈氏后裔聚居的地方。明初，陈氏一支自福建南下，先在桥柱寨落脚，其后分衍到周边村寨。[6]

1990年起，占陇镇先后获得农业部的「发展乡镇企业先进镇」称号，并获得广东省中心镇、「乡镇企业百强镇」、「卫生先进镇」、「群众体育先进镇」和「先进基层党组织」等称号。[4]

2020年、2021年和2022年，占陇镇均列入「淘宝镇」名单。2024年3月，占陇镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」；2026年5月，入选「广东省第一批开展现代化建设的中心镇」名单。[4]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于普宁市区东约9公里处。练江穿过镇境，全镇面积，百度百科与维基百科作52平方千米，博雅地名网作51.27平方千米。[1][2][3][4]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查时，全镇人口为16.44万人。2008年的户籍人口则为170098人。[2][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈氏家祠在四德村，建于清光绪年间，是县级文物保护单位。[5]

吴氏懋祖祠在陂头村，建于1938年，属近现代重要史迹，同为县级文物保护单位。[5]

桥柱老寨南寨门位于西楼村的桥柱老寨，为明代建筑，县级文物保护单位。[5][6]

兴文中学钟楼建于1937年至1938年，在兴文中学校内，同为县级文物保护单位。[5]

三都书院的筹建由方高、苏才等人发起，建成于1830年（清道光十年），主持修建者为知县陈凤图。书院现存于占陇镇三都初级中学的校园中。[8]

七板桥在华林村，为清代古桥，以七块石板搭建。2022年3月，它被列为「普宁市第七批文物保护单位」。[5][7]
