历史沿革[edit]
建国初期，此地为普宁县第四区下的南径乡。1980年单独设为生产大队；1984年改设车厝围乡，归南径区；1987年撤区设镇后称车厝围村委会，之后改为车厝围管理区；1999年回到车厝围村委会的名称，延用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
以农业为主，水稻、蔬菜是主要农产品，部分村民外出务工经商。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2018年，车厝围村获评广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[2]
